Au Weather is an Australian weather app with widget that displays up to date weather data available from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) (see the disclaimer for more information). Screenshots of the app and widget is shown at the bottom of the page.  There is a free, ad supported version and a paid, ad free version of Au Weather available from the Australian Android Market (see below for more details).

Features

• Weather data sourced from BOM.
• Choose most of the BOM weather stations around Australia (over 700).
• Light data use.
• Transparent home screen widget - set the temperature text colour to fit your wallpaper.
• Widget background can also be set to one of the predefined backgrounds.
• Temperature display in the status bar (also visible from the lock screen). Select form either black (stock, see pic below) or white (HTC Sense, Samsung Galaxy etc.) status bar text.
• Sunrise/sunset times.
• Select from nearby locations or track you current location.
